Harley Davidson Fraction Lesson

Made a lesson where the students could use what they have learned about fractions and apply it to everyday life. I decided to use my Harley to make the lesson more interesting. I explained to the students that every time I get on my Harley I have to do fractions.

We talked about the size of my tank, how much it takes to fill it up and the price of gas per gallon.

I used my gas tank that is split into fourths and we found how miles I can travel on 1/4, 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4 of a tank.

I also used my six gears and we found what gear I need to be in at what mph.

I also took the chance to talk about my Harley and show it to them up close and personal.
